We are able to reduce the monthly cost of sponsoring an individual child in the Shepherds Homes from the historic amount of $150 amonth, to only$100 a month!
This reduction is made possible by several factors which have thankfully lowered our overall operating costs:
- The purchase and move to the Sigona and Gilgil sites has allowed us to stop paying property rents in Nairobi at very high rates.
- Administrative oversight and management of our finances have allowed us to slowly bring overhead costs down, while maintaining high standards of care.
- The larger number of children we now serve (46) now allows us to purchase food and other items in bulk quantities, at lower costs.
Your pledge of $100 a month will provide food, housing, health care, recreation. clothing and vocational training to a very deserving child. They also will receive long term
personal, spiritual and psychological care and their lives will be enriched in so many ways. When possible, this child may even be able to reunite with their family.
You will have the opportunity to correspond with your sponsored Shepherd's Home child and build a lasting relationship. This sponsor-child partnership is supervised by our staff in both the U.S. and in Kenya so that both parties are always encouraged, nurtured and safe.
If you are unable to commit to the total $100 a month, any portion of that amount will be greatly appreciated and will still help us tremendously attain our goals. Please help us rescue children from the plague of AIDS that is sweeping Africa.
