About The Shepherd's Home
We are now in our twelfth year as a Christian-based, 12-step recovery home. Our focus is on recovery and relationships, including supportive relationships with the other men in the house, a relationship with the truth that will change their lives through meetings, sponsors/mentors, books, others committed to this journey of sobriety, and eventually with God, who created them and loves them deeply and has "good plans for their lives" (Jeremiah 29:11, Bible), regardless of where they have been or what they have done.

Over 50 percent of our men have spent 2+ years with us and therefore provide a very strong foundation and kindness to those new men who come in. We do not set a time limit for any man to leave, as we want every one of them to make it well the rest of their lives when they do leave.

Our men need to gain employment as part of their recovery journey as that is a part of normal life. However, the process of sobriety can be overwhelming and challenging, especially without the right guidance. That's why we offer job-searching assistance and resources to our residents, helping them find meaningful employment that will help keep them on the right path. When available, we also provide job training for a fulfilling career in construction, for those who are interested. Our primary objective is to provide the resources our residents need to feel empowered in their recovery journey.
